Join us in packing shoeboxes this year!
Operation Christmas Child is an initiative of Samaritan’s Purse. Each shoebox you pack helps a local church around the world tell a child about Jesus, God’s Greatest Gift. Many of them will grow in their faith and learn how to tell friends and family about Him through the Operation Christmas Child discipleship program called The Greatest Journey. You can learn more about this ministry and its history here.
Each year Trinity encourages the church body to pack a box. This year we are foregoing a packing party and asking that those who feel led pick up a box on Sunday morning at TCC to pack at home. This is an excellent activity for families to do with their children to practice giving, generosity and prayer. Then, you bring it back by the deadline to ensure that it gets sent out in time for National Collection Week.
Boxes are available at the welcome table on Sunday mornings. There will also be boxes available for contactless pick up in between the glass doors at Trinity throughout the week when the church building is closed for those who have participated in the Livestream.
You can pick up your box on October 25th and November 1st.
Here’s helpful info on what to pack in your box
Each shoebox is a $9 donation to cover shipping. Please make sure that your box is labeled correctly and that you have paid your $9 per box either online or by including a check in your box.
Drop off your box on November 7th and 15th.
